Summary

In Chapter 19 Rosa approaches Claspers, explaining that she and her husband love the island and want to look at property. Claspers is skeptical of Rosa. Yancy tells Clasper that their last name is Gates, “as in Bill” (254). Claspers takes their information to Christopher, who balks at the connection to Bill Gates. Christopher asks Claspers to describe the wife. He tells him she is a doctor and hot. Claspers sets up the meet between Christopher and Rosa.

Rosa decides to go to meet alone, which Yancy does not like. Rosa goes and Yancy thinks about their relationship and whether or not he is able to “satisfy such an appetite for excitement” (257), especially after Rosa seducing him in the morgue.
