Daniel's Shore Dream

Daniel’s shore dream symbolizes both hope and sadness. Daniel’s dream (though it may be argued that Daniel is not dreaming but actually between two worlds) places him on a shore between Heaven and Earth. Daniel is hopeful in the dream because it means there is an afterlife and he will be better; and he is sad because he knows he has died if that is the case.
