Outcasts

Dan Crawford considers himself an outcast. Dan does not fit in with the kids in his school because he is a serious scholar while the other kids seem content to spend most of their time socializing. For this reason, Dan has not made any friends at school. However, Dan hopes to make friends at the New Hampshire College Prep program because it is for kids like him.

Jordan is also an outcast. Jordan is a gay teenager. Jordan’s parents have not accepted his sexuality and have, in fact, attempted to send him to a program that is supposed to cure him of his sexuality. For this reason, Jordan is also something of an outcast.
