Tull - Chapter 16 Summary

Much to the confusion of the Tull family, Peabody's team arrives at their house. Cora takes it to mean that Addie Bundren has died, and she needs to go to the Bundren's, but Vernon is not so sure. Instead, Vernon refuses to go to the Bundrens' until they actually call for him.

Outside, it starts to rain, and the rain falls heavier and heavier, Vardaman arrives at the Tulls,' soaked through from the storm. Surprised by Vardaman's sudden appearance, Cora and Vernon ask him what happened, and, after muttering some nonsense, Vardaman finally indicates that Addie has died. Hearing this, the Tulls decide.....
