Fogg, Aouda, Passepartout, and Fix have checked in to a hotel in New York City for the night. The next morning, Fogg leaves the hotel alone to find possible passage to Liverpool. He finally stumbles on the Henrietta to find that he must bargain pretty heavily with the Captain for his services. The passage finally is agreed upon at two thousand dollars per person.
