The Need for Armor

The name of the book is Armor. This is because of the Armor that the warriors in the Fleet wear. This armor protects their bodies but the reader finds that Felix himself has emotional armor as well. Felix changes into the Engine every time that he has to battle. The Engine protects Felix while he is to scared to act or do anything. The reader finds that everything that Felix goes through effects Jack, Lya, and Hollis as they go with them. They don't have the emotional armor that Felix possesses. They each break down due to the stress that they go though as they watch Felix and feel the things that he feels.

Jack crow isn't a warrior for fleet but he does a lot of fighting. It appears for much of the story that Jack's own emotional armor is shown in the way...
