Chapters 12 and 13 Summary

In chapter twelve, Rayford knows Buck doesn't want to leave for Petra with the others because of Chloe. Rayford announces that he'll be remaining behind as well. They won't make a move unless they can figure out where Chloe is being held, but they will remain in the States in case they get information. Jock administers truth serum to Chloe. While Jock is trying to make Chloe talk, the angel is in the room and Chloe remains calm but unmoved by the truth serum.

Mac telephones Otto Wesler who has been helping Krystall function in the oppressive darkness of New Babylon. In return, Krystall has allowed Otto to listen in on conversations and Mac now knows there's to be a gathering in Baghdad in six months' time.
