Chapter 11 Summary

One day, the girls are in Margaret's room looking at the anatomy book Gretchen stole from her father. They are looking at the male body. Janie asks if that is what Philip looks like naked. Nancy mockingly reminds her he is a male. Janie says she would not be naked in front of anyone, not even her husband. Nancy says when Janie is older she will want to show off like the girls in Playboy.

Margaret says her father has the magazine. Nancy asks her to get it, but Margaret is reluctant. Nancy says if Gretchen can get the anatomy book, she can get the Playboy. She finds it, and Nancy opens the magazine to the centerfold model who is eighteen. Nancy says that is only six years away. Janie comments that they are.....
