On Friday morning, Mr. Benedict had put the graded papers with their names on the desks. Margaret is happy over her ninety-eight. He tells them they should have their project topic by the week's end. Margaret decides to write about religion so she can know whether she wants to join the Y or the Jewish Community Center. Saturday morning, Margaret meets Sylvia in the city.

At lunch, Margaret asks in a low voice if her grandmother notices she is wearing a bra. Sylvia says that it makes her look older.
