When she gets home, Margaret goes to her room to put on the bra. At supper, Margaret's father embarrasses her by telling her how proud he is that she is growing up. At school, Margaret looks at boys in her class because she has to fill out her Boy Book. She decides on Philip Leroy and Jay Hassler. Before school is over, Mr. Benedict says everyone will have a year-long project, and they can choose the topics. After school, the girls are at Nancy's.
Nancy checks to make sure they are wearing bras. Gretchen, Janie, and Margaret discuss their Gro-Bras. Nancy says she is a thirty-two double A and tells them they have to exercise. She demonstrates the exercise and says she must increase her bust. Gretchen asks about Boy Books. Nancy reads them.....
