Chapter 6 Summary

The next day Mr. Benedict asks why Margaret hates religious holidays. Margaret says the holidays are meaningless to her because she has no religion like her parents and that she is supposed to decide for herself as an adult. He lets her go. She hopes he thinks she is okay. On Saturday, Moose mows the lawn. Outside, Margaret pretends to read while watching Moose. She would list him at the top in her Boy Book but wonders about Nancy's reaction. In the teen department at a store, Barbara asks a clerk about a bra.

The lady suggests a Gro-Bra because Margaret is not ready for a double A. She asks Margaret to try some on in the dressing room. Margaret likes the soft one. Barbara gets three soft bras. At the counter, Margaret sees.....
