Chapter 2 Summary

In less than an hour in the new house, Margaret has a visitor."named Nancy Wheeler, a girl in her grade. Nancy invites Margaret to her house to play in the sprinklers. At the house, they go to Nancy's room. Nancy and Margaret find out they will be in the same sixth grade class. Changing into a bathing suit, Margaret is uncomfortable as Nancy looks at her. Nancy says Margaret is flat and says she is already developing and will be ready for Playboy in several years.

Margaret is doubtful, as she has seen her father's Playboy. Nancy says she thought Margaret would be more mature coming from New York City. Nancy takes Margaret to meet her mother. Mrs. Wheeler talks about Sunday school. Margaret says she does not go to Sunday school. Nancy says.....
