This is the car Harry Flint drives while pursuing Diane and Kelly at the French-Spanish border. Flint could have chosen to rent any type of vehicle, but his choice of the Citroën highlights the glamorous, James Bond feel of this action novel.
Kelly's ring is a seven-carat emerald ring set in platinum and surrounded by three-carat diamonds. The ring is worth a great deal financially and has an even higher emotional value for Kelly. She is forced to sell the ring when she and Diane are on the run. Her sacrifice gives them the funds they need to solve the case.
