True Love

Scarlet’s story begins with her first death. Scarlet lived in Europe in the 1500s when she became engaged to Gabriel Archer. However, Gabriel had been dating a young woman in the neighboring village who became enraged when she learned Gabriel was engaged to someone else. For this reason, the girl, Raven, cursed Gabriel to only find true love with Scarlet, but then shot Scarlet with an arrow. This arrow was tainted with immortal blood, however, because Tristan jumped in the path of the arrow to protect Scarlet. For this reason, Scarlet comes back to life each time she dies, sometimes years, sometimes centuries after her death with no memory of her past. However, the same blood that brings her back to life, also breaks her heart and kills her again.
