Chapter 17

Scarlet becomes fixated on finding the Fountain of Youth, but she knows that she cannot run off with Gabriel to try to find it. Scarlet realizes the first step is to let Gabriel back in her life.

Chapter 18

The following day, Scarlet goes to the cabin to speak with Gabriel. Tristan opens the door with a large sword in his hand. Gabriel and Scarlet sit on the couch to talk out the rest of the story. Gabriel tells Scarlet that Tristan’s survival of the arrow through his heart that day made them seek out another person from their village whose hand healed from a cut right before their eyes.
