The chapter begins with the protagonist Rick Deckard waking up in the morning. We learn that he has been awakened by something called a mood organ, and he gets out of bed immediately. He then attempts to wake up his wife Iran, who does not wish to wake up. The two begin a discussion of the settings of their mood organ, and Iran accuses him of being a murderer. (read more)
