Grey is pregnant and very contented. Her power has transformed her into a vibrant woman about to become a mother. Set is amazed at how much he loves her. At night Set opens the medicine bundle and takes out the bear paw. He raises it as if a club, feeling the terrible power of the bear and the compulsion to release the power. Grey sees the paw against the window.

At the end of summer, Grey and Set go to a dance. They sit silently and wait for the dancers. When they arrive, the dancers are painted white like the gods and wear masks.
