Souvenir Summary

The final section in the book is a replay of the very first chapter, only this time in San Francisco instead of Kansas City. Five people are marching into the street to deliver an evangelical message. One exhausted older man, with a strong white-haired woman, and a seven-year-old grandson. Also, another older woman and her daughter of about 27 take part in the scene, playing the organ and passing out tracts. Passers by look at them and try to avoid them, commenting on what a rough life this would be for a child. The oldest woman is the only one in the group who appears to have strength and character.
