Summary

The first chapter of “Part Two” is titled “Prisoner of War.” The kidnappers left cyanide bullets at Patricia's apartment so police would know the SLA was responsible, and they took Patricia's purse. They later used her drivers license and other cards to prove they had her. The kidnappers arrived at their safe house in Daly City and put Patricia in a closet. Donald talked to Patricia, still blindfolded. She pretended she had never heard of the SLA. Donald said she was arrested, not kidnapped, because her father was “a corporate enemy of the people” (Location 1004). He said Patricia would be treated as well – or as poorly – as Joe and Russ were being treated.
