Summary

In Chapter 11, Sydney drove to the headquarters of Denver Pacific Continental where she met with her boss, Deputy Chief John Mauer. He was not happy when she told him that she wanted to work on Kane’s case. He suggested she stop acting like Columbo or Jessica Fletcher. He did not seem to like the idea of Sydney working on Parnell’s case but said since she was going to go Sherlock Holmes on him, she might as well do it in a new vehicle, that Homeland Security had finally decided to buy them all new SUVs.
