Summary

In Chapter 17, Kitty asks Lara Jean if she thinks their father and Trina will have a baby. Kitty says she wants to be the youngest, but Lara Jean assures her that a baby would not change her place in the family. Peter picks Lara Jean up and drives her to school. She asks him what he would do if she got pregnant, just to test him. He says that he would never be the sort of father that he has: one who abandons his child. Lara Jean feels bad for bringing up the subject. Peter is upset with his father for leaving his mother, and even though he has been reaching out, Peter has been ignoring him. After school, the couple talks about their future and Lara Jean worries that they might grow apart.
