Summary

In Chapter 13, Oliver takes a phone call from his mother who is annoyed because he has been ignoring her calls. His mother wants to talk about his taking Lithium, and Oliver isn't sure he wants to do it. Oliver is frustrated because there is no clear cut answer for him, so he goes to Kentucky's room, asks what his real name is (Will) and suggests that they get out of the hospital for awhile. Oliver's light jacket is not enough protection against the snow but he and Will head downtown amid the bright lights and crowds of people. Oliver shows Will the area where his parents used to live. Eventually the conversation turns to Althea and when Oliver describes her, Will tells him that she had come to the hospital to see Oliver right after he went into his last sleeping episode.
