Summary

In Chapter 16, Farrah is waiting when Sarah and Bell return. Farrah talks to Sarah for a few minutes, asking about her grandmother's farm. While Sarah talks some, she remembers Eva's words about the Gonzales family is “trying to destroy you” (150), and cuts the conversation short. Later, Sarah walks into the barn and discovers Leo and Raoul in a romantic scene. Sarah realizes that the fight Leo, James, and Raoul had weeks before was staged to cover any suspicion that Leo and Raoul were involved. Raoul leaves. Sarah offers to follow him in order to assure him she will not say anything, but Leo stops her. Sarah can tell Leo wants to say something and she urges him to go ahead. He says James is spending the night in Farrah's room. He went to the house to give Leo and Raoul time...
