Summary

In Finch’s section entitled “Days 66 and 67” Finch drives to New Harmony to discover the nest houses are gone. Back at home that night, Finch believes he disappears when he looks at himself in the mirror. In the morning, Finch listens to the messages on his home phone. He erases one from Mr. Embry. In the closet, Finch thinks to himself he is a broken, a fraud and impossible to love. After dinner he takes half a bottle of sleeping pills. When he feels a haze of blackness over him, like being Asleep, he gets up and gags himself, trying to throw up the pills. He runs to the hospital where he tells the emergency room staff what he’s done and asks them to get the pills out of him. After the procedure, the nurse brings him information...
