Summary

In Chapter 17, Tom and Charlotte visited Forrester for an update on Jenny’s progress. Tom wanted to know how her memories might help the investigation and why he did not ask about the blue shirt with red bird. Charlotte wanted to know what the memory was doing to Jenny. He explained three things he believed about Jenny’s memory: her memories had not been erased; if this moment of her attack had not been erased, none of them had; and if he introduced new information to Jenny during her therapy, she might incorrectly remember it. He reminded them that her treatment meant she would not be able to testify in court and that her attacker might not ever get punished.
