Searching for Fulfilment

On first glance, the narrative and thematic perspectives of this particular book could be seen as more than slightly superficial. This is arguably because the writing places so much focus on brand names, because most of the characters seem to define themselves and their value by the social status of their friends, their hangouts and their other activities, and because most of those same characters appear extremely self-absorbed.
