Point of View

"Airhead" is told in the first person point of view by Emerson Watts. The reader is included in all of Em's thoughts and feelings. Em has many discussion inside her head as she is not allowed to confide in others about her new life. Em often argues with herself and has a sarcastic sense of humor. The only scenes the reader is allowed to see are the ones which include Em. The reader is not privy to the thoughts and feelings of other characters except through their dialogue or facial expressions. Em's internal dialogue reflects her character's growth throughout the story.

Setting
