A terrible incident has happened aboard an airplane making its way from Hong Kong to the United States. Many passengers have been injured and even a few have died. The pilot tells the tower that they have suffered from extreme turbulence. However, the same pilot tells one of stewardesses that there was an uncommanded slats deployment. Casey Singleton is charged with trying to make sense of the tragedy and learn what has really happened.
