Miami, Florida. September, 1991. Constancia and Reina visit the sacred zone of trees by the river to pay homage as the santero had directed. After they completed the offering, Reina and Constancia take Herberto's boat out to sea. Despite reservations, Constancia followed the santero's instructions and allowed Reina to accompany her on the first part of her journey. While on the boat, Constancia asked her sister what they were suppose to remember. Reina told her they were to remember what happened. After some thought, Constancia announced that Mama had not drowned. Reina snaps at her telling her she told Constancia what she had seen at the funeral home years ago. Constancia never believed her. Reina tells her that there was no physical way Mama could have put the shot-gun to.....
