Summary

In Chapter 41, the limo takes Brody to a penthouse where he meets Isabella. He realizes that he has seen her before - in the dream that he had telling him what would happen to Claire. She wants the necklace that he took from Simon's neck but Brody asks her to elaborate on how to bring Claire back. Brody realizes that Isabella must be an Eater - one who sustained herself for centuries. He and Isabella discuss Edmund, who possessed Simon and Brody realizes that instead of just feeding on people's souls and drive others to kill new victims for him, Edmund found a way to relish in fear.
