The Aeneid Study Guide

Aeneid is a story about Trojan survival, triumph over adversity and fulfilling one's destiny. It is also a story of honor and loyalty. Told in two parts, the story recounts the trials that the Trojans faced on their long journey to their promised land and then their claiming of the land. Not only are the Trojans at the hands of fate, but many of their trials are the direct result of the gods interfering. Determined to do what is morally right and honorable, Aeneas does his best to lead his people to safety and bring them to a peaceful existence. (read more)
