Sabriel

Sabriel is the Abhorsen. She is also the wife of King Touchstone. She is an educated woman who has completed college and still writes letters to her old schoolmates from Ancelstierre. She dresses in Ancelstierre clothes. This is ironic since she should be wearing her Abhorsen clothes. She is wearing a silver dress with a hussar's pelisse on one of her shoulders and a pillbox hat on her head.

Her Abhorsen clothes consist of her blue tabard, the Abhorsen bells across her chest and a sword in a sheath on her side. Sabriel is working with her husband to form an alliance against their opponent Corolini. Sabriel has two children, a daughter and a son. Her son is Prince Sameth. Her daughter is Ellimere.

At the beginning of the novel assassins try to assassinate Sabriel and her husband. They do not succeed, however. Sabriel makes it to Ellimere's...
