Chapter 11 Summary
The Clayr saw Lirael with Nick in a vision. They send them a boat. As they all board the boat, Nick asks Lirael why she is waiting to push off. When Nick looks up from the boat, Hedge is gone and the Dead are turning back and walking away from the boat. Lirael says they are waiting for high noon so the Dead will leave them alone. Nick insists that Lirael is not rescuing him, but instead is taking him away from an important scientific experiment.
Lirael gets Nick to tell her about the experiment. He says that a friend of his is creating a lightning farm. Nick insists that they have to bring the two hemispheres together to create the ultimate power. Nick also tells her about their plans to get it over the wall at Ancelstierre. Lirael questions how they will do this since the Dead won't...
