Chapter 5, The Dragon of Pendor Summary

Ged goes to the island of Torning, a place that is primarily occupied by fishermen. In Torning Ged is supposed to protect the area from a dragon and its eight sons who will soon begin hunting for food. Ged finds this island very relaxing; it is exactly what he needs to finish regaining his strength and preparing for the fight ahead. While on this island, Ged befriends a boat builder who teaches Ged how to build and sail boats. When this friend, Pechvarry's son becomes ill he goes to Ged and asks for help. Ged is reluctant to help because the child is clearly dying and he has been taught not to stop the dying spirit from leaving the body. However, Ged sees how upset his friend and his.....
