Summary

Chapter 28

Will starts his adventure, but he’s disappointed that he hasn’t found anything exciting. He spots what he thinks is a giant, which turns out to be the mysterious merchant. The merchant offers to take Will into the city, promising him a grand adventure.

Chapter 29

The Owner is still delighted to have found the recipe. He thinks to himself that he’ll no longer be a disappointment in the eyes of his father.

Analysis

Chapter 28

The mysterious merchant shows up once again. He continues to act as a guide for the characters. He brings Will to the museum, which causes Marigold and Mrs. Asher to try and find him there. While they fail to find Will, they learn more about the hairpin.
