Summary

In Chapter 20, Trevor awakens, finding he had fallen asleep in the secret room awaiting his father. It is pre-dawn, and there is a man standing in the corner of the room. It is clearly the ghost of Ben, but it soon disappears. When Trevor returns to his room he finds on his desk a brochure to a cruise line that was not previously there. He wishes to call his mother, but Serena interrupts him. She gives him some coffee and tries to ply him for information. When Trevor is shifty with his answers, she becomes rude and dismissive. Trevor hands her the cruise line brochure; Serena unkindly warns him not to snoop. Trevor makes his way outside and finds his father in the orchard clearing the fire pit that his mother loved.
