Chapter 30, Arya Summary

Arya, Gendry, and the Brotherhood without Banners arrive at Stoney Sept. Harwin tells Arya about the Battle of the Bells, one of the major battles of Robert's Rebellion, which was fought at Stoney Sept. Arya's father, Eddard Stark and Lord Hoster Tully fought Lord Jon Connington, who was looking for Robert Baratheon. The townspeople were warned to stay indoors by the ringing of bells.

The captain of the gate tells them that the Mad Huntsman, a man who hates the Lannisters because they raped his wife and sister and ruined his farm, is hunting for Jaime Lannister. There are three men in cages in the center of the town, Karstark men who were looking for Jaime Lannister. They raped and murdered people when they could not find Jaime. Arya gives them water.
