Midnight Gulch

Midnight Gulch is a quaint, several-hundred years-old valley town in rural Tennessee surrounded by mountains, a river, and a forest which are meant to protect its magical secrets. The town has long been home to magical families and magical talents, the most famous of which are the Threadbare Brothers, and the most infamous of which is Isabella Thistle. Midnight Gulch was stripped of its magic following the tragic duel between the Threadbare Brothers, and so now only contains snickers of magic.

Midnight Gulch is also the birthplace of Dr. Zook’s Ice Cream, and is the hometown of Mama, Aunt Cleo, and Uncle Boone, and is the town to which Felicity, Frannie, and Mama move when the novel begins. Felicity falls in love with the place quickly, including its unique history, magic, and people. She decides she will do whatever she must to make Midnight Gulch her...
