Summary

In Chapter 7, Morwen, having run away, hides in the forest. She has not eaten in several days and feels defeated. When she says she wishes her grandmother were there with her, the crystal, which she stole from her mother, lights up. Ursule appears in the crystal and tells her granddaughter, “Don’t try. It will come” (319). Morwen asks the stone to show her Ynyr and then she sees him near St. Hilary Church with Jago beside him. Ynyr seems aware that Morwen is watching him. Morwen heads for the church. Ynyr senses Morwen’s approach and she is reunited with her horse and Jago, her true father. Jago and Morwen run away on Ynyr.
