Summary

In Chapter 4, Bill Norcross leaves. Greg acts like an excited fan with the baseball Jill signed. Jill goes to the beach before going home. When she gets home, she greets the family dog, Maggie. Jill talks to her mother and determines that she has time to shower before dinner. She also finds out that she has messages from agents and television networks inviting her to attend the draft. Her mother told them that she will be busy studying for final exams. Jill goes upstairs and talks to her brother, Theo.

In the following days, Jill studies, practices a little bit of baseball, and goes to the movies with her friends. Even though the television networks invite her to attend the draft, Jill does not do so, which makes her mother happy. Round three of the draft takes places on the second day. The...
