Chapter 44 Summary

"Boats to Build"

As it turns out, Sophie Diamant is the granddaughter of Cleopatra's stepbrother Teddy Diamond. Tully tells Sophie and Montana about Cleopatra living to be 102 years old and about their adventures. They go to Cayo Loco on the Lucretia. Then, they go to Osprey Point to visit Cleopatra's grave. Montana places a conch shell on the grave and promises to bring one every time she returns.

In Key West, Sophie and Montana visit the cemetery. Sophie takes Montana to Marathon to visit her grandfather, Larry's father. While they are away, Tully returns to Highbourne Hill. Upon their return, Montana shows Tully that Lister's conch shell on a gold chain that she wears around her neck. Sophie and Montana decide to stay at Highbourne Hill.

Sophie and Tully are later.....
