Summary

In Chapter 14, Mia stays in the helicopter for a long time, until her father urges her to go inside. She knows that she isn't seeing colors and that the ice hitting the helicopter is making gray blobs instead of colors. She believes that she has long everything that's important to her, meaning Mango and her colors. When she gets to her room, she changes into dry clothes and sees “a colorless Mango-shaped space” and Mango's favorite toy, a Tweety Bird. She begins to cry and wonders if Mango knew how much she loved him. She sleeps most of the day. Her mother wakes her when Adam calls but Mia refuses to talk to him.
