Perspective

The book was written by Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar from the limited perspectives of the authors. The book was written in first person, typically referring to the author as "I" or "me," or sometimes as "we." When first person singular was used, there was often a name indicating which of the authors was writing that section. For example, chapter two's opening was written by Jim Bob. On the first page of that chapter, he wrote, "Michelle asked me (Jim Bob)..."
