Summary

In Chapter 11, Bachhuber visits Irene and Titch once again, and he observes them fighting about the fact that Titch bought a Jaguar without telling Irene. Irene reprimands Titch and tells him to focus more on obtaining the Ford dealership. Bachhuber decides to mind his own business and not become involved in the argument. In Chapter 12, Bachhuber receives an unexpected visit from Clover, his fellow contestant on the quiz show. Clover flirts with Bachhuber, as he flirted with her in the past, and Bachhuber becomes excited by the possibility of a romantic relationship between them. Later, Bachhuber looks out his window and sees, through the window of the Bobs’ house, that Irene is being kissed by an unfamiliar man.
