Chapters 21-31 Summary

Chapter 21: Jon

Jon sits in his room thinking about Sam and Maester Aemon. Jon misses them and worries about their safe passage. He also worries about Gilly and the baby.

Jon recruits the wildlings to fight. Bowen Marsh questions using women in battle but Jon says that they have knives and know how to use them.

Chapter 22: Tyrion

Tyrion has been spared. He is still in danger but alive. Tyrion and Young Griff talk about Dany. Tyrion and Haldon go into town and are surprised to meet someone who speaks the Common Tongue although they are far from Westeros.

Chapter 23: Daenerys

The Green Grace visits Dany and speaks about her mercy. The Green Grace tries to convince Dany that if she marries Hizdahr, peace is possible. Dany does not agree with the choice.
