Chapters 8-20 Summary

Chapter 8: Tyrion

The journey continues. Tyrion wakes when the convoy stops. Outside, Illyrio and Yollo talk to strangers. There is some verbal combat before the convoy moves on. Tyrion's loyalty to the queen is questioned by Griff.

Chapter 9: Davos

Davos Seaworth is marched into a castle bound in heavy chains. His crime is trying to buy his way off the island while being in possession of twelve dragons. After a conversation with Lord Godric, Davos is set free. There are hints about the Sisters and the fact that Davos has friends there, as most people do.

Chapter 10: Jon

Once again, Jon is in an uncomfortable situation. Mance, King-Beyond-The-Wall, has been brought forth in bondage. Stannis intends to kill Mance, who begins to deny that he is a king. Jon tries to convince Stannis that Mance is more valuable alive. The law...
