Chapter 36-41 Summary

In chapter thirty-six, the sword fight lasts only a moment when suddenly the entire camp is attacked. A thick fog descends on everyone and people's screams can be heard from all directions. Rand, Caraline, Min and Darlin are surrounded by the Aes Sedai, who tell Rand that they will handle whatever the swords cannot. They begin to travel to get out of the fog and find many horses and people that have been torn to shreds. Rand channels to kill a creature forming from the fog and Darlin realizes who Rand is. A Dark Friend steps out of the fog and throws a knife at Rand. The knife only slices down Rand's side, leaving a shallow scar, but Rand drops immediately.
