Summary

In Chapter 16, Cassian says he regularly visits Nesta and offers to help her begin training to discover and use her powers, but that she always refuses. The Book of Breathings is a book defining how to use the Cauldron, and the book speaks to Fayre until Amren tells it to shut up. They discuss the coming war. Fayre learns that Hybern could be amassing allies outside the seven courts though they are working to keep those nations skeptical of each other in order to limit their cooperation. Miryam and Drakon, a couple who have lived in isolation for years, have vanished. Rhysand explains that Miryam was a human killed during a battle in the previous war.
