Fayre Archeron

Fayre is a young woman who saved the faerie realm from an evil faerie, Amarantha, who held the High Lords of the realm captive and terrorized everyone else in her world. Fayre defeated Amarantha but Amarantha killed Fayre during that battle, and the seven High Lords united to Make Fayre into a faerie, reviving her from death. Fayre is bound to a High Lord named Rhysand even though she is about to marry a High Lord named Tamlin. Fayre is inherently strong, but she is struggling during the early part of the novel, the result of being tortured by Amarantha and by the stress of being Made into a faerie. Because of those struggles, Fayre finds herself unable to fight Tamlin, even when he keeps her under guard.
