Summary

In Chapter 1 of Part 4, Schwab introduces Nasi, a young White London girl who met Ojka a few times. The two bonded over having facial scars and Ojka encouraged her to take pride in them. Nasi visits Ojka's dead body to say goodbye.

In Chapter 2, Holland has trouble sleeping, haunted by the memory of the dead Dane twins. In a dream flashback, Schwab reveals that Holland's older brother Alox tried to kill him when he was only nine. In self defense, Holland kills him and takes his magic. Holland wakes up as a guard tries to kill him but Kell stops him in time. The two discuss Osaron's need for chaos and Holland reveals that he himself is only magic's slave.

In Chapter 3, King Maxim and Kell plan their defenses against Osaron with the noble council. Lord Sol-in-Ar disagrees...
